- Account: name, username, email, phone number, password, and optionally a profile photo, bio, and city/state/country.
- Content you post: photos and videos you capture or upload, captions, the Wolf Ones you "spot," colorway selections, and any location you choose to tag.
- Purchases & creator payouts: items ordered and shipping details; payments are processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers. If you earn creator commissions, we collect payout/identity details needed by Stripe Connect.
- Communications: messages you send us and your notification/marketing preferences.
Permissions-based information (with your consent, on device)
- Camera & photo library: to take or select photos/videos for spotting Wolf Ones and posting.
- Microphone: when you record video.
- Location: to tag where you spotted a pair and power "Near You"; you can use approximate entry or GPS. You can revoke any of these in your device settings.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage: platform (iOS/Android), app version/build, device identifiers, IP address, and in-app activity/log data used for analytics, security, and troubleshooting.
- Push tokens: if you enable notifications.
- Website only: cookies, log files, and pixels ("Device Information"), as described for web visitors. [see cookies note]
How we use your information
To operate and provide the Services; create and secure your account; process orders, payments, and creator payouts; power Spot-a-Wolf detection; personalize your experience and XP/rewards; send transactional and (with your consent) marketing messages and push notifications; prevent fraud and abuse; analyze and improve the Services; and comply with law.
AI & image processing
Images and videos you submit to Spot-a-Wolf are analyzed by automated vision systems (including Google Vertex AI and Gemini) to detect and classify Wolf Ones. If you opt in to AI training (a setting you control), your submitted media and labels may be used to improve our detection models. You can change this consent at any time in the app.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, including: Stripe (payments & payouts), Google (Sign-In, Maps/Places, Analytics, AI/vision, and cloud hosting/media storage), and Expo (push notifications). We also share: with other users — your profile and content you post are visible in the app; for legal reasons — to comply with law or lawful requests and protect our rights; and in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, sale). We do not sell your personal information for money.
